.: Chris Fahey

While at Harvard University Chris started Northeast Data Security to assist businesses with a need for Information Security services but may lack the resources. While at Harvard, as a member of the Information Security team Chris has worked on various project teams advising on secure implementation and administration of all new and legacy products. Chris has also served as the liaison between Information Security and other departments and schools within the University.

Prior to coming to Harvard Chris was at CCR LLP for a little over a year. As senior staff he was responsible for technology audits, security consulting, penetration testing, and compliance work. He was also responsible for the execution and supervision of all technical aspects of IT security and assurance engagements for community banking and financial services clients.

Prior to CCR Chris was at Competitive Edge Services working in information security for about four years. Before that I was Senior Network Administrator at a private educational institution and an independent network services consultant. He was involved with financial institutions and both public and private organizations performing information security audits, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and IT policy and procedure development. Chris also performed in Sarbanes-Oxley management testing and prep, performed information technology risk assessments, and SAS-70 audits.

Chris attended Northeastern University and majored in Management Information Systems. He is both CISSP and CISM certified and has also attained Certified Ethical Hacker, is Security+ certified, and has obtained numerous other industry certifications from Microsoft and CompTIA.
